We know that the forest fires across Canada this year are having devastating effects and may have caused you to have to evacuate your homes quickly. Help to all those impacted is critical. We’re here and have put the following supports in place. - Medications and medical equipment: If a plan member had to evacuate and they were not able to get their medication or medical equipment, they can call us at 1-877-786-5433 (1-877-SUN-LIFE) and we will help get what they need.
- The Client Care Centre (CCC): They’ve implemented their Rapid Response processes. This means, that they will:
- waive the withdrawal fee if plan members need Group Retirement Service funds,
- waive fees to refill prescriptions, and
- send EFT payments to plan members on disability.
- EAP support: Plan members using the Lumino Health Virtual Care Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can get access to immediate help by calling 1-844-342-3327. A Member Service Specialist will assess their need and coordinate care with the appropriate resources.
